As the deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for You, O God. Psalm 42:1

Borrowing Wisdom

Borrowing Wisdom

He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

Psalm 40:3

Borrowing Wisdom

Borrowing Wisdom

Borrowing Wisdom

If you love to listen you will gain knowledge,
and if you incline your ear you will become wise.
Stand in the assembly of the elders.
Who is wise? Cleave to him.
Sirach 6:33-34

Teach me How to Love

by Braedon Hoecherl

When I Get Where I’m Going

by Brad Paisley

Lyrics

Teach me How to Love

Teach me How to Love

Teach me How to Love

I was a stone in a riverbed

That was dry as a bone

Nothing but a seed in the cold dirt

With the darkness as my home

Then God sent His water rushing over me

And let my colors show

The warmth of the blood He shed for me

Bloomed a poppy from the snow

Lord teach me how to love

Cause I don't know what I'm doing

All I know is I've got a good thing here

Something I don't want to ruin

So Lord send your Spirit on me

Like fire, like a dove

Like the sunlight from above

And teach me how to love

There's plenty in this world

Who've never seen the light

Some turn away and some will say

They just can't take the fight

Cause it ain't easy living right

So Lord give me the grace

To endeavor on and help others along

Until we see Your face

And Lord teach me how to love

Cause I don't know what I'm doing

All I know is I've got a good thing here

Something I don't want to ruin

So Lord send your Spirit on me

Like fire, like a dove

Like the sunlight from above

And teach me how to love

Now I ain't the only thing growing

In this field, it's full of life

God surrounded me with some others

And trusts me to love them right

So we'll walk along together

through the dark hand in hand

So when the sun does rise

And we open our eyes

We'll be in the promised land

Teach me how to love

Cause I don't know what I'm doing

All I know is I've got a good thing here

Something I don't want to ruin

So Lord send your Spirit on me

Like fire, like a dove

Like the sunlight from above

And teach me how to love

So Lord send your Spirit on me

Like fire, like a dove

Like the sunlight from above

And teach me how to love

Teach me how to love

Lord teach me how to love

Yesterday's Me

Teach me How to Love

Teach me How to Love

I wouldn't call me a saint

I've been known to use

Both virtue and vice

And it's up to me to choose

I ain't much of a cowboy

I can't do much alone

But I work and I pray hard

And try to hold my own

Some days are harder than others

And I've still got a long ways to go

But I know I can't look at it that way

Just keep moving even if the moving is slow

Each morning I get up

And I bow my head

Praying Give us this day

Our daily bread

And one day at a time

Be who I need to be

And be better than yesterday's me

I sure ain't no hero

I'm just trying to live

And lay down my life

And take less than I give

I'm not exactly a warrior

But there's something in me

That wants to tear apart evil

So I fight on my knees

Some days are harder than others

And I've still got a long ways to go

But I know I can't look at it that way

Just keep moving even if the moving is slow

Each morning I get up

And I bow my head

Praying Give us this day

Our daily bread

And one day at a time

Be who I need to be

And be better than yesterday's me

And there's plenty of times that I've messed up

And it's bound to happen again, but

I'll keep taking steps, making progress

Trying to become

Who I'm not yet

Each morning I get up

And I bow my head

Praying Give us this day

Our daily bread

And one day at a time

Be who I need to be

And be better than yesterday's me

Each morning I get up

And I bow my head

Praying Give us this day

Our daily bread

And one day at a time

Be who I need to be

And be better than yesterday's me
